SEPM’s Online Book Collections have continued to grow and SEPM now offers several collections and individual book access to libraries, members and even non-members.

SEPM Online Archive I: Includes books from 1929-2009. Yearly Subscription or perpetual access is available to both libraries and members. Non-members can purchase access to individual books.

SEPM Online Archive II: Includes books from 2010-2014. Yearly subscription or perpetual access is available for the entire collection to libraries. Perpetual access to individual books is available to members and non-members.

SEPM books from 2015 on will be available to libraries, members and non-members with perpetual access to individual books.

Online Access to SEPM journals – PALAIOS and Journal of Sedimentary Research continue to be available with yearly subscriptions to libraries and members. Subscriptions include access to the entire archive of each journal.

A website with information, learning and teaching materials about aspects of sedimentary geology, especially stratigraphy and sequence stratigraphy. The existing SEPM STRATA web site was originally designed and produced by Professor Christopher Kendall and Nassir Al Naji, then at the University of South Carolina. For several years the site was maintained and content was updated under their guidance. Upon Dr. Kendalls retirement the site was transferred to SEPM and the site was uploaded to server space at SEPM. SEPM is currently working with Dr. Kendall on a redesign and updating of the site.

The “Past” of sedimentary geosciences being the Sedimentary Record. SEPM, in conjunction with IAS and SGD/GSA, invites you to submit Session Topic Proposals (and potentially related fieldtrip and/or workshop) for the International Sedimentary Geosciences Congress in Flagstaff, Arizona (SEPM2020).

The SEPM Research Symposium is titled:
“A look into the future of energy and sustainability using the sedimentary record.”
The Symposium is planned to have both the Tuesday Oral Session, including a PICO session in the afternoon.

Society for Sedimentary Geology (SEPM) along with the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) and its Divisions, the Austin Geological Society and the South Texas Geological Society are proud to host the 2019 SEPM Annual Meeting in conjunction with the AAPG 2019 Annual Convention & Exhibition (ACE*) at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas 19-22 May 2019.

*Note that SEPM Members receive the ‘AAPG Member’ registration rate for ACE – be sure to check the SEPM box when registering.

SEPM Memberships

SEPM (Society for Sedimentary Geology) is an international not-for-profit Society. Through its network of international members, the Society is dedicated to the dissemination of scientific information on sedimentology, stratigraphy, paleontology, environmental sciences, marine geology, hydrogeology, and many additional related specialties. The Society supports the science and its members in their professional objectives by publication of two major scientific journals, the Journal of Sedimentary Research (JSR) and PALAIOS, in addition to producing research conferences, short courses, and Special Publications. Through SEPM's Continuing Education, Publications, Meetings, and other programs, members can both gain and exchange information pertinent to their geologic specialties.
