UH Hilton

Lodging Deadlines:

  • February 11, 2013: special conference rate and availability guarantee expires for UH-Hilton.

Conference Hotel

NAMS headquarters hotel for the Microfossils III conference is the Hilton Hotel - University of Houston located on the University of Houston campus.  The special conference rate is $129 nightly for a first class room.  This rate is per room, not per person, enabling sharing of a room and the cost among guests.  Four students could comfortably share a double room, plus the possibility to request a rollaway bed for a fifth person.

A block of rooms have been reserved from 8 March to 16 March, 2013. The special rate will be available for reservations made by February 11th or until the block of rooms is sold-out.  As of February 8, rooms are still available at the UH-Hilton for March 10 to 16. A very limited number of additional rooms were made available for March 8 and 9 but will likely fill soon; please be sure to reserve by February 11th.

Information on transportation options (route here) from the DoubleTree @ Hobby to campus will be provided as the conference gets closer. Please contact Alicia Kahn should you want her to help arrange taxi sharing among Doubletree guests.  We will also try to arrange a deal with a taxi company for reduced shuttling rates.

Transportation Assistance on Campus

Two electric golf carts driven by student volunteers will be available to transport those with walking distant limitations between the Hotel and the meeting venues.
