James Lee Wilson Memorial to follow at 9:00 pm

James Lee Wilson (1920-2008) has moved on to map new territory. Jim passed away on February 13th, 2008 at his home in New Braunfels, Texas. He is survived by his lovely wife of 62 years Della and his two sons Jim Wilson, Jr. and Burney Wilson. We would like to have a celebration of Jim’s life, contributions to geology, and passing into the next phase of his career beginning at 9:00 PM. Please come to laugh, smile, cry, tell or just listen to field stories and memories of one of carbonate geology’s greatest contributors and all around fantastic human being.  We will begin the regular Carbonate Research Group meeting at 8:00 PM with a few short talks and posters; as Jim and his Shell colleagues were instigators of this research group, I think he would be disappointed if the show didn’t go on!
